time to train (or @ least that’s what i like to call it).

this just in….

the santa fe century has been denied the right to be a part of the duke city classic(!), even after offering to change the name of the 26 year old ride to ‘the duke city epic-daylight-poker-ride’ due to a scheduling conflict with the polo tournament. the actual poker ride will commence at it’s usual 9ishpm, the night before. karl ‘bike city’ lavine will be the master of ceremonies for the evenings event.

sounds like power training to me….

so ride i will, the night before…then probably 3ish hours later, katie will rouse me from my peaceful slumber (translated: passed the fuck out) and again i’ll ride. route 344 will be the decision point…turn left, die all the way up heartbreak hill and hate bicycles all the way back to santa fe. or continue south, back to the house, 30 miles menos…knowing there’s a shower 50′ from the end of my ride. hmmm….

speaking of polo. tonight at the (not quite as) new and improved polo venue (the league of bike polo), they will be playing polo. bike polo to be specific. as if there were any other kind.
