cyclist general’s warning:  a large portion of this ride can cause shortness of breath, leading to getting left behind by the main group…caution should be taken to understand where you are going in the event of this happening to you. this ride can make you feel as though you have ridden 15-25 miles, because you have. consuming alcohol while cycling is not conducive to riding 15-25 miles at maximum effiency…although, consuming alcohol is not frowned upon, and quite likely glorified by some of the group. elevation can vary dependent on direction taken. long, drawn out, poker ridesque stops may lead to being told to tighten up. water has been known to quench thirst and promote hydration.
