someone took my mtb (schwinn moab)last night from my garage. it has blue deep v rims on xt hubs and a blue sid race fork (not pictured) and blue grips. they also took a novara buzz that had no chain or gears with a yellow lemond saddle.

although there are the fixie/road crits going on up @ washington place tomorrow. not willing to unleash the brakelessness of my 81 gear inches, i’m opting for my road bike (aahhh…not fixed [but we had so much fun up in the jemez last weekend]). http://bcdracing.com/informal.html

fixie crits…but local
tonight! 630pm (road) 730pm (fixie). take the diversion trail north to paseo, cross the bridge (just south of paseo) over the arroyo to the dirt lot…look to the north and head to the frontage road, turn right and head towards jefferson but watch those train tracks! turn left on jefferson, cross paseo, turn left on the frontage road and then right on washington. finally turn left on washington place and you’re there. bring your bike and helmet, leave your brakes behind…and thank hawke when you see him.

summer school!
the fixed crits are back. long hard rides down dusty, debristrewn highways. the journey is hard, but the payment is…nearly nonexistent. no, actually, it’s tons of fun. i say we collect our frying oil for sam’s new fixed and free bus and make him show up to the crits on time, this time. there’s no excuse for tardiness.

poker ride, again.
tonight 9pm @ hidden park. bring a bike, $5 (if you’re a gambler), your favorite adult beverage, etc….. and what does that fiver get you? five cards that could very well be the key to you taking home everyone elses fivespot. expect miles of enjoyment.

i fear that all is not well with the state of this journey to the jemez mountain range. we lost one of the matts earlier this week to a vicious case of cantgoitis, and then the other matt succumbed to a weeklong case of notfeelinguptoititis. i thought all was lost, until receiving communications from mister b. robertson informing me that he would be pleased to join the expedition. by this time mister robertson should have received word of our misfortune and i can only pray that his will is strong and his steed stronger still, in light of the hardships we must face in the coming days.
i must end this letter, as the night grows cool and my candle wastes away to shadow. do not fear for us, for we are resigned in our fates and unshakable in our commitment to ride forth and get fucked up. pray for us my friend. i will see you in a fortnight or sooner, god willing.
